How to get into Costume for Theatre - The Blog! Introduction

I'm very lucky that over the last 10 years I have worked in the UK Theatre Industry, specifically in Wardrobe.

I decided this was the career I wanted when I was in school and so from that point onwards thats what I focused on. I did the required A Levels (as well as an aditional Art and Design Foundation Diploma) that got me into the University I wanted, worked hard to get a 1st class honours and then graduated. But then what? It wasnt till after I graduated that I realised I knew absolutely nothing about getting a job!!

So this will be what I plan to focus on in the blog. Am I an expert? Absolutely not, but every single day I learn something new and exciting about this industry so If writing it all down helps one person then my job here is done.
